TEACH THE FUTURE: CS, IS, & IT Education in a changing world

SACLA 2023, the 52nd Annual Conference of the Southern African Computer Lecturers’ Association will be hosted by the School of Computer Science & Information Systems, North-West University. The conference, which is planned to be held in-person, provides a forum for the discussion of original research and practical experiences in teaching and learning Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, and related disciplines. The conference programme will include research paper sessions, plenary keynote addresses, panels and workshops. We invite submissions of full papers, research-in-progress papers and panel proposals on topics from researchers and practitioners from any country.

SACLA 2023 focuses on the future of Computer Science (CS), Information Systems (IS), and Information Technology (IT) education and the challenges that educators will face in the years to come. The conference will cover a range of topics related to the general theme, but not limited to:
